The ONLINE Biographical Lexicon of Famous and Notable People from Pomurje includes info about personalities, who were born in Pomurje, living and/or studying here, and whose work above all impacted the region’s development in history as well as in the present. Regardless of the geographical and historical borders of Pomurje, the Lexicon includes personalities from the territory of administrative units of Prekmurje, Prlekija, etc.
The website is run by the Provincial and Study Library in Murska Sobota. Contents are designed and published in accordance with the content design of the interconnected biographical lexicon. We gladly accept proposals for adding new personalities to the lexicon. Send them to pomurci@ms.sik.si or via the online form.
